LIFT is a web magazine for the adventurer in all of us (not necessarily the gym goer) -- successful men and women who work hard and play harder. Fitness isn’t about living at the gym, it’s about living at your peak, no matter what stands in your way. It’s about obeying the alarm clock, peeling yourself out of bed, and finding that extra hour most people think they’ll never have.

LIFT items are selected either by myself or by one of my guest editors. If you have a cool tip, please share it with me! And, no, you can't pay to be featured on LIFT. That's what advertising is for, and it's clearly labeled as such. I do not want to destroy the legitimacy, integrity, and fun of this blog.

For the most part, I take the photos ... but from time to time I use Getty Images, iStockphoto (where I am currently a stock photographer) and Bauer-Griffin.

BlogBurst.comLastly, this site is syndicated through Blogburst, so it's likely that you'll see LIFT on Fox News, Reuters, or USA Today.com.

I hope that you continue to enjoy LIFT. I look forward to publishing it.

Apparently women will have sex, if men will do the chores

Man-doing-chores.pngIt's what most married men want to know – how to get more sex. But the answer may not be what they want to hear: do the housework.

Yes, according to a US study of family life, it seems that dusting, vacuuming and even taking out the garbage are the best ways to rekindle the marital flame.

I know what you're thinking. Don't some women still have sex (or even initiate it) whether the laundry is done or not? Apparently not. Especially if books like Porn for Women are any indication of what turns women on. It features hunky (but clothed) men doing household chores, making cups of tea, asking for directions, listening intently, and saying things such as, “I love a clean house!”, or “As long as I have two legs to walk on, you’ll never take out the trash”.

My best advice (for all you disappointed married men): Get the kids to do the chores! And, tell your wife that studies also show that exercise increases the libido.

He has to help clean the house becuase he lives there and contributes to the mess.

However, bargaining for cleaning out my car is totally on the table as a favor exchange. ;)

good reason to stay single!

My husband needs to read this because it's true. I can't have sex if I'm thinking about everything that needs to be done around the house.

That said, it's not him doing the chores that would turn me on, it would be the fact that if the chores were taken care of, I'd have time to do other things. ;)

I agree with Lynn. Household chores seems to be endless. More hands the earlier it will be done and more time for something else.

Women are men's slaves. They are the ones that should be cleaning, not the man. See my website for details.

Tracee is so true! My wife's car looks like a train wreck. This post was entertaining yet true. Maybe my mom raised a renaissance man but I personally enjoy having a clean house and don't mind taking initiative to also cook since my wife works long hours as a nurse. Most guys may balk at this but the SMART married guys and the single guys get what I'm saying. Can you imagine having the best sex of your life then tripping over your mess and stubbing your toe?

Besides we all know the best sex is good food sex!

Ha! That would definitely be the man thing to do! ;)
