LIFT items are selected either by myself or by one of my guest editors. If you have a cool tip, please share it with me! And, no, you can't pay to be featured on LIFT. That's what advertising is for, and it's clearly labeled as such. I do not want to destroy the legitimacy, integrity, and fun of this blog. Plus, I'll never earn your trust that way.

For the most part, I take the photos ... but from time to time I use Getty Images, iStockphoto (where I am currently a stock photographer) and Bauer-Griffin.

BlogBurst.comLastly, this site is syndicated through Blogburst, so it's likely that you'll see LIFT on Fox News, Reuters, or USA Today.com.

I hope that you continue to enjoy LIFT. I look forward to publishing it.

Tone and Tighten with Weekend Workouts in the Hamptons

Women's%20Health%20Studio.pngJust in time for those jetting off early to the Hamptons for a little R & R, Women's Health Magazine (yes, the magazine) is offering up spectacular weekend workouts this June -- with Some of the Most In-Demand Yogis, Pilates Gurus, and Personal Training Pros in the World -- and it's all FREE!

WHAT: Women’s Health magazine opens its first-ever WH Studio in Southampton, NY for the weekends in June to help beachgoers tone and tighten just as the season is kicking into high gear by bringing elite instructors from all over the U.S. So take a class, replenish with some energy-boosting edibles and load up on summer style essentials at the WH Studio.

WHEN: Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in June and it all starts next Friday, June 6th.

WHERE: 5 Windmill Lane (at Hill Street)
Southampton, NY 11968

So go on, try a class solo or drag in a friend. Women of all fitness (and social) levels are welcome.

A full class schedule is available at womenshealthmag.com/studio and class sizes are limited, so call 1.800.305.4618 to reserve your spot.
