Richard Branson's life is better than any fairy tale. The 57-year-old corporate bad boy was never supposed to end up like this: the master of his universe, directing a multi-billion dollar empire he created from scratch (as a teenager) from his personal hammock in paradise. His empire is spread from bridal gowns and cosmetics to gyms, airlines and railways; even cellphones and consumer electronics. Just today, he announced his most ambitious venture:

Virgle · Apr 1: A jointly owned and operated venture between Virgin and Google (of course) that is dedicated to the establishment of a human settlement on Mars.
